“Bear-ly” Used Unitarian Universalist Meeting House Thrift Shop

So we finally made it back to Chatham when the UU thrift was open. Honestly it’s been a very busy summer. But I’ve noticed that people actually are looking at this blog so I’ve got to step it up a little now. I like “Bear-ly” Used thrift. It is the source of Uni-Goat and Andy’s mom works there. There is always something weird there. Plus it supports the Unitarians, who generally are pretty cool.

The Uni-Goat when I first saw him/her (I am still not sure what gender he or she is)

There is a large stuffed bear (not a taxidermy bear, but a stuffed one) in the entry way who wears a variety of hats and other outfits. Today he was wearing an apron with ants on it, sunglasses, and some kind of hat. However, Ann wasn’t there. Monday is her day to do water aerobics. But we were instantly recognized by the ladies who work there before we even stepped into the shop.

Then there’s always a few awkward moments when people say that they know me so well from Facebook, because Andy posts so many pictures of me, but I have no idea of who they are, so I am not sure what to say to that, other than, oh yes, Andy posts a lot of pictures. I’m kind of socially awkward.

Anyhow, Andy and I had a good time today looking at all the stuff today so on to the pictures.

OK, I should have bought this bowl for $3, but I just don’t have justification for another decorative bowl.

Here’s someone else who nearly came home with me — sterling for $5, but he’s missing his gem

I mean, you might as well come for a vacation and take your own photo and frame it, if you’re going to pay $25 at a thrift store.
